Sanseverino, a clown and guitarist, a chicken thief and rocker, a tango lover and Knight of the Order of the Arts and Letters., a singer and entertainer—part actor, part ecologist, largely an artist. Closing his fifties with a career as long as his (well-built) arm, he's about to charge into the next decade with the same eclectic enthusiasm.
With every tour, every album, the Parisian of Italian origin, Sanseverino, reinvents himself. It's a cliché, but it fits him well because the evidence is there: on one hand, a series of concerts dedicated to François Béranger, on the other, a partnership with the group Tangomotan; here, a rock concert blended with gypsy swing, there, African notes paying homage to Django. All of this is encompassed in twelve studio albums since 1994 and two live recordings, one of which immortalizes his performance at the Bouffes du Nord.
