Home. Her home. Like a comforting cocoon. But also a place where anything is possible. A place where music, her music, springs forth. It's not by chance that two of Hindi Zahra's three albums are titled "Homemade" and "Homeland".

Hindi Zahra is Franco-Algerian, also a painter and actress, hailing from a family of Berber artists. Musicians introduced her to traditional music, as well as reggae and Bob Dylan. She continuously seeks to absorb diverse musical influences that she loves to convey on stage.

Her latest album, "Homeland," was crafted here and there, following artistic winds and desires for encounters. First in Marrakech, her home, then in Cuba, Jordan, Andalusia, Egypt, and Italy. With steadfast musical passions as travel companions—Miriam Makeba, Cesaria Evora, Marvin Gaye, or Nina Simone.

On stage, Hindi Zahra sings in French, English, Arabic, and Berber. This reflects the musical journey to which she invites the audience.

Both of her albums, "Homemade" and "Homeland," each won a Victoire of the World Music Album (french music award) in 2011 and 2016.
